This wasn't in my contract. I looked at the man who had a camera. "I'm not doing that. Seriously." The camera man didn't speak. Great. "Shit. Are you kidding me?" I was supposed to go into a house, or The House, as they liked to call it, and play goody two shoes chemist with the brains of Sherlock Holmes, dorky and attractive and super smart. Someone should have told them that I'm in this because of a bet. A bet I wish I never made. Fuck.

I think I've seen this show before. I meant to walk in and start fangirling over the beautiful interior. Dot' get me wrong I was excited for this place, just as long as there were some people here who I could get along with. The camera was thrust in my face and I grinned at the camera. "Hi!" I said cheerily into it, nothing wrong with good first impressions.

Zach
God help me somehow. "Is anyone here named Amelia with two surnames?" I yelled across the house. How stupid. Should have said is anyone here, but too late for that now. "Dear Lord, I'm in a house with deaf people. My camera man held in a laugh and I wanted to shove in the camera into his throat. "Shut up, moron, there's nothing funny with this situation." Oh who am I kidding, it's hilarious.

Amelia
"There's an Amelia with two first names and one surname" I replied, heading over to the part of the house I heard the voice coming from. I signed up for this because I was bored. No real reason really. I saw an advertisement for it and thought it might be a good thing to try out. Could be brilliant could be horrible, I'll just have to wait and see.

Zach
"Yeah, whatever. Don't hyphenate your name and your surname then, people will get confused." I felt exposed. Can the camera go away? I swear I'll mix up a gas which will fuck up all the electronics in this house. Of course, then we won't be able to watch tv. And I doubt I'll get access to the needed chemicals. Shame. "I'm Zachariah." I guess we should meet. It's kind of a necessity.

Amelia
"Nice to meet you Zachariah. Since you shouted it, I am guessing you know my name" I replied, holding out my hand for him to shake. Oh, this guy seems very, to put it kindly, grumpy. I have no idea if that's first impressions but hey we, along with other people, will be living together, so it might be a good idea to get on everyone's good side. "So, what's your occupation?"

Zach
"I destroy shit." The camera man tsk me. No swearing. I looked directly into the camera. "Fuck off. This is America. Freedom of speech." The girl wasn't American though. Maybe she didn't know. "I'm a chemist, actually", I told her. "You?" It's polite to continue a conversation. Or so I've heard.

Amelia
"Chemist? Must be cool, never a subject I was good at in school. I work in a minor position in the police" I replied, they said not to tell anyone about my actual job. Releasing my jobs details on national tv would probably get me first fired, then killed. Neither are something I really want to happen.

Zach
"I'm not responsible of half of the explosions in NYCC. I'm not", I raised my eyebrows lightly, crossed my arms and walked over to the sofa. "Sit down. I have a feeling we'll be doing lots of that during these couple of months, might as well leave our buttprints on it first."

Amelia
"I'm not stationed in NYC so you're okay, we only work in our own towns" I replied, sitting on the sofa opposite his, crossing my legs beneath me. "Have you always liked Chemistry?"

Zach
"No, I hate it, but I gone into it because the paycheck's good." I have her the 'seriously' face. "Of course I have. What kind of an idiot works something they don't like?" What did they say again, dorky, happy-go-lucky, nice? You wanted some other Zach, not me.

Amelia
"Oh I know plenty of idiots who don't enjoy their job. Unfortunately for them their head is as empty as a hermit's social life" I replied, smiling at him.

Benedict
At least the decor was nice. I sighed and walked around the house to find anybody. Calling out would've been just an excuse for the woman behind the camera to laugh at my poor flu-infected voice, so I didn't do that.

i wasnt sure why they put us all in separate rooms when we enter the house. it seemed pointless, and just made us lost and confused as we walked around aimlessly looking for any body else in here. i headed for the kitchen first, always a good start, and since no one was in there, i checked my hair and makeup in the reflection of the window, making a kiss-y pout-y face as i turned to the camera. "ah! people. thank god. thought this place was haunted or something. hate ghosts tbh"

Amelia
More people started walking in, and I glanced up to see who they were. I glad to know there wasn't just two of us. That might have become a bit awkward, but no point worrying about that now as these two looked nice enough.

Zach
More people. Great. "Hello. Join us." I felt like Dr. Evil, I just needed a cat.

Benedict
Some bloke was talking to me, but I couldn't focus onto him. He could have sworn at me a dozen times in half a sentence, and I wouldn't notice. There was a girl, with red hair, sitting on the sofa, which caught all my attention. "Erm. Hello."

i smiled at all three of them and sat on the arm of the sofa, quickly gazing at them all. "hey, im kitty" i introduced myself, i wondered if the girl had dyed hair. if so its definitely a great colour. i might try it next time.

Amelia
I smiled at both of them, "Amelia-May" I replied, holding out my hand for either of them to shake. I received a shake from the Kitty girl, so looked towards the other boy and smiled at him, my hand out for him to shake. "You are?"

Zach
I quickly looked at the girl who introduced herself as Kitty, and seriously, the only thing toxic on her was her hair dye. She seemed to be the equivalent of the 'cute girl' stereotype. Check a dictionary, there's a picture of her there. Oh I see. The cast was made to be as familiar as it was possible. The tough guys will go for sensitive girls, the nerds for popular kids, and I felt sick just thinking about that.

Benedict
"I'm Bene...Benedict." Distraction wasn't a good enough word. Moth attracted to a flame, that's a better comparison. Moth, me. Flame, her hair. "You?" And then I remembered she already said her name. "Ah. Yes. Nice to meet you, Amelia."

"so, who are you?" the amelia and other guy seemed to be okay chatting between themselves, so i decided to talk to the other guy, hey he was cute with his very curly hair. all fluffy like a unicorn's tail.

Amelia
"Well, Bene-Benedict, it is a pleasure to meet you too" I smiled kindly at him, he seemed nervous, bless his poor soul. It could be an act, but he just didn't seem the type to do any acting. Plus his eyes, I doubt it was an easy task trying to hide emotions in those eyes. They seem to just reflect the world.

Benedict
I coughed and pulled myself together. I couldn't have my team back at home laughing their arses off. 'Oh, Ben, the first girl you met and you're head over heels already', they'd say. "It's just Benedict. Sorry." I coughed once more.

Zach
"I am me", I replied and looked at the blue-and-red duo. "Say, did they explicitly ask for girls who had dyed hair for this season or was it just an accident? Because two out of two are good chances."

Amelia
"Just Benedict? Any middle names... surnames, Benedict?" I asked, scanning his face carefully, still smiling lightly. I liked this guy already, he'll be great to be around, I can tell.

kitty
"me? that's a name ive not heard before. anyway, this might not be dyed. might not even be hair." i held a few strands and rolled them between my fingers. "and amelias might not be dyed. some very lucky people have naturally amazing coloured hair."

Zach
"I don't know. It looks fake as shit. I can't even make liquids turn that red", I said and lay back more on the couch.

Benedict
"Benedict Gabriel Bennett. First, middle and last name." I told her and sat on the other side of the (frankly huge) sofa. I already knew her first and middle and last name, so what's the point of asking. Yet again. "I honestly don't know what I'm doing here, but what made you enter?"

"you never know. next time you talk to her, ask" i replied, shrugging lightly. its like ron weasley's hair. his hair is that bright.

"I thought it could be a good holiday" I said, "Why did you turn up if you don't know why you entered?" I asked, moving myself so I was looking directly at him. Why waste a perfectly reasonable reason to stare at someone.
