I landed on something soft. A person! "Yeah, but I'm starting to think that wine was a bad bad bad idea. Bad wine." I nested my chin on his chestbone. Maybe not such a bad idea after all.

Markus
I lifted my head to look at her, probably giving myself a delightful double chin, hopefully disguised by the short bird's nest I call a beard. "Probably, I don't know." I replied, making no attempt to move her off me, I just continued staring at her.

Clark
The sudden closeness made me blush. Or was it the wine? "You know, floor is a very comfortable bed, you should get some", I told him and shuffled a bit on top of him, so that his ribs wouldn't break mine.

Markus
"Is it now?" I smiled at her, "I'm sure it'll allow you to sleep there, if you ask nicely". Staying like this might be a challenge for the whole night, but I liked her closeness, it was taking all my willpower not to stroke her cheek or play with her very beautiful hair.

Okay, I'm not all for stereotypes insults and everything, but bloody hell. God knows what he thinks of me now. I knocked on the door, "Markus!" I called. It couldn't have been more than, oh, half a day, and I realised that some of my private belongings have been accidentally left in his flat. Stupid bloody idiot, I am. "I'm not a paedophile, please open!" I did not, and I repeat, did not leave my white tee and my bra at his place on purpose. Now repeat after me. Did not.

Markus
"Just come in, it seems you mostly live here anyway." I called out to her, I quickly shoved some dirty pots into the sink. Hey it is tidying, then walked through to the living room to meet her.

Clark
"Oh, hello." I opened the door and buzzed in with no warning, almost hitting him with the door. "I offer you my greatest apologies, but seemingly you have something that is mine. Which I... left here. Accidentally." I 'sneakily' glanced around in case I saw my clothes.

Markus
"Yeah, I noticed. I folded them, well the tshirt, and put them on the table." I smiled at her, before feeling a collision with my legs as Emily ran over. "Miss Clark. You weren't gone long" She cheerily said, grinning at her.

Clark
"Thank you, I'm stupid sometimes." And a bit distracted. That wine from the other night really got to me bad. "Hello miss Emily, how are you doing?" I smiled down at the kid. She was easier to talk to, at least I don't have to pick up my clothes from her.

Markus
"I am good. But he promised to make buns, but he hasn't and just sat being lazy" Emily pointed at me, stepping closer to Clark. "You're nicer than him-" "What? I am very nice to-" "So will you make buns?" Cheeky beggar, she is sometimes.

Clark
"Oh, I'm willing to bet I'm ten times nicer than him, but, sweetie, I don't know how to make buns. How about cupcakes instead? I like making cupcakes, and I'm sure you will, too." We probably should have asked for Marcus' approval, but never mind him.

Markus
"Oh! Okay, sounds like fun" Emily took Clark's hand and lead her to the kitchen. It seems I have been replaced as parent. Nevermind, this means I will get some peace and quiet for once. I followed the two, Emily seemingly very happy.

Clark
"I used to make cupcakes all the time for my sister, until she decided they were making her fat and left me to making cupcakes to my brother, who then decided that he also didn't want to get fat so for a lot of years I've been making cupcakes to myself", I blabbered to Emily. Having already accustomed to the house, I took out the ingredients and quickly recapped myself on the recipe.

Markus
"Dad doesn't care about getting fat. He is podgey already" "Rude" "But he doesn't make cupcakes he buys them" Emmie just has her attention on Clark now. I could probably say anything and she wouldn't care. I walked over and sat on the work top they weren't working on.

Clark
"Ei, budge off, I'm going to need this counter." Okay, I probably won't need it, but what can I tell you. Ballet boys have strong arms and my oh my do I like seeing them in action. "Buying cupcakes is classified as a sin in my book", I admitted.

Markus
"But it's easier" I complained, and got off the counter as she said, leaning against it instead. "So Dad sinned?" Emmie asked, looking up at Clark. I have a feeling that she is gonna idolise her, and I am trying to work out if that is good or bad.

Clark
"Oh, I wouldn't go around saying that. But he hasn't been the most perfect person, in my humble opinion", I started {{making cupcakes i do not know}} "I think you have a good enough dad. I didn't have one, and I still turned out pretty good."

Markus
"'Good enough'? You two are just mean" I continued complaining. "What have I done to make you say I am not the most perfect person?"

Clark
"You're male!" I exclaimed. A reason good enough as any. "Isn't that right, Emily, us girls are much better than boys. Honestly, if boys weren't so cute, we wouldn't even need them", I shrugged.

Markus
"You're just sexist" I complained, at the same time as Emmie saying "Daddy isn't cute." I pouted and crossed my arms, mumbling a comment about the two of them 'being where they should be: in the kitchen'.

Clark
"You chauvinist pig", I smacked him with a whisk. "Emily, dearest, you need not know what I just said." I returned to my cooking, and I must say it's pleasant to cook when there's people around. "Nah, your dad isn't cute", I stuck out my tongue at him.

Markus
"You're mean" I complained, batting the whisk away. "I am allowing you both to trash my kitchen, and you're both horrible."

Clark
"Hey, I'm not a mean guest, I'll help you both to clean it and to eat the remains. Speaking of eating", I cleaned the whisk with my finger and ate some of the mixture. "I had salmonella once because I ate raw mixture."

Markus
"Ah, you have a use" I smiled at her, "The kitchen does need cleaning." Emily watched Clark curiously, "What is salmon-salmonella?" She stumbled over the word slightly, but didn't take her eyes of Clark.

Clark
"It's an illness you get if you eat raw eggs or cookie batter", I replied as I ate a bit more of the mixture. "I swear to Lord if you make one more comment like that I will forbid you to eat my world-famous cupcakes."
