Johnlock, #15

"Don't be amused by me", John laughed quietly, also amused by his clumsiness, but not letting it show.

Sherlock hummed lightly, "I try not to be" He noticed.

"Is it that hard to do?" John asked taking another sip from his coffee, more careful this time.

"No" Sherlock replied, gazing up to the ceiling.

"Well, you're a buzzkill", John noticed, confused by the sudden change. Not five seconds ago he was smiling.

"That is a very subtle way of putting it" Sherlock lowered his gaze to John, studying his face again.

John looked down, escaping Sherlock's gaze."So, onto something brighter, I guess... How did you start writing?"

"My parents had a large library, and I spent a large amount of time in there flicking thriugh the books" Sherlock said, "I soon started writing my own stuff"

"I'm glad you did. There's a brilliant mind hidden in that head of yours, Sherlock", John told him.

"I know" Sherlock said, "My parents say it is wasted on writing books"

"What else should you be, a doctor? Lawyer? Writing is better than both combined", John nodded.

"So a book on a dragon is going to save you when you have a heart disease?" Sherlock asked, clearly quite bored.

"No, but some other books might teach people how to perform a heart surgery", John argued.

"You would let someone who has never operated before perform surgery on you just because they read a book on it?" Sherlock asked.

"Not, I certainly wouldn't, but I know a few people who would", John said.

"Would? Is the world actually becoming more stupid?" Sherlock muttered to himself.

"Considering you're a part of the world..." John trailed off not finishing the sentence.

"I do not consider myself part of the stupidity in this world" Sherlock said.

"Are you an alien, then?" John teased with a small smile.

"Aliens don't exist" Sherlock shook his head, "They are just fictional"

"You're sort of impossible, you know that?" John asked finishing his coffee.

"Hmm" Sherlock hummed, "I exist, so I am not impossible"

John searched for a proper word for a couple of seconds."Unbelieveable? Imporbable?"

"Freak, boffin" Sherlock replied, picking at the table.

"Do people really call you that?" John asked.
