"Window?" Arthur suggested, he needed to get out before she found out what he was and freak out.

"My... windows aren't always closed because I don't expect strangers in my house", Billie said folding her legs beneath her.

"Yeah, sorry, most people don't. And I think something broke in the other room, I don't know what" Arthur admitted.

Billie glanced at the door."I will check that out, okay. But we still haven't figured out who you are."

"I said, I'm Arthur" Arthur said, shrugging again.

"But who are you? You're most certainly not normal, because normal people don't break into houses", Billie said.

Arthur winced, 'Not normal' the words hurt him slightly, but they were the truth "I'm a guy from Ireland, who used to be studying to be a teacher" He said, "I just like looking around houses."

"And why my house particularly?"Billie asked, noticing his wince. Something was off.

"It looked a pretty house." Arthur shrugged "And I was right it is" He added, gazing around the room.

Billie smiled lightly, nervously fixing her hair. "I really think you should go, my parents will be here soon."

"Oh right. Yeah that would be a good idea" Arthur said, glancing around the room again.

"Go ahead", Billie crossed her arms smirking a bit."Go out." She was sure she closed all the windows.

Arthur stared around the room again, she was onto him, he knew it. He rubbed his forehead, trying to think of a way out of this situation.

"Just tell me. I appreciate the truth, you know", Billie said.

"But the truth is not always a good thing. And this truth is a terrible one" Arthur sighed, continuing to rub his forehead.

"I can deal with the truth, no matter how terrible it is", Billie said.

Arthur laughed, a humourless laugh "I doubt it" He said.

"Try me", Billie said with an amused half-grin.

Arthur sighed "I'm dead. And have been for five years" He said, calmly watching her.

Billie frowned."Sweetheart, where is your hospital? I could get you a cab", she said carefully.

"See, this is why I don't tell people. They all think I'm a crazy guy" Arthur sighed.

"I'm not sure if I understand", Billie stammered.

Arthur groaned slightly "I'm dead, kid. A ghost, un esprit, a phantom. Whatever you call it"

Billie was still frowning."Do you have any proof of that?"

Arthur strolled over to the wall and placed his hand through it, before pulling it back. What they never told you in the 'ghost films' is it hurts slightly to walk through walls, its like small needles poking you.
