I sat looking out over the sea, the sun was starting to set. One hour until curfew. I knew I had better start to head back, if I didn't I might get caught. I don't want that to happen again. But I much prefer it here to at home, yes, I do like my family, I like spending time with them. But here was quiet. No one speaking. No mention of the Deliria or the cure or anything. Just the sea, and the occasional gull. I sighed and jumped off he rock I was sat on, landing just beside the rusty bike I owned, my only means of transport. I clambered onto it, taking one large deep breath and began peddling back home. Home wasn't too far from the sea, a half an hour walk, even shorter bike ride. But nine was curfew for us 'un-cured', and if you are caught out just minutes before then you can get in serious trouble. I've already been caught once. That wasn't a fun experience, definitely one I don't wish to repeat. I peddled down the road, checking for any patrols, thinking about my upcoming evaluation. It was always at the back of my mind, slowly eating away all my other thoughts, it isn't long away. It'll determine who I will spend the rest of my life with. We're not allowed to love. Love is a disease, amor deliria nervosa. In the past people seemed to worship it, but it brought no good to the world, just wars. The Book of Shhh explains everything about how bad it is, and is one of my favourite books to read.

accident, and that made his mother understand
that the things aren't always the way as they seem.
She started teaching Sam how to get outside
the fence where he met his aunt and cousins.
He spent a lot of the time out there. His mother
told him everything he knows today. She often
told him that he loved him, in the real way,
the way others thought was a drug and an illness.
That's why they took her away. Sam doesn't know
where. They sent him to a family that was supposed
to keep care of him, but he, of course, escaped
to his aunt. He helped her take care of the
children and others who needed them, and continued
to do so even after his aunt passed away.
