"'Coz he's lightly gay. Or, how he likes to call it, 'demisexual'", I made a face. That was just a fancy way to say he gets off on dudes. Seriously.

do. not. give. me. compliments. i blushed pretty hard."no, not really. i play piano and a bit of drums, just for the kicks", i explained and started fiddling with the end of my sleeve.

"Oh, good. Because if you didn't I'd have to never talk to you again", seriously. Harry Potter must be liked. I feel my cheeks start to heat up and mentally curse myself. Why god why.

Allie
I smile at his expression. "Damn it", I say sarcastically with a half smile. Damn that half smile. Interfering during my conversations. "And may I ask are you demisexual?"

Joules
"What kind of music do you play?" I asked, liking this guy more and more. His blush is just adorable, which made another large grin light up my face.

Noah
"What house do you think you're in?" I asked, smiling at her. Harry Potter was really the only fantasy fiction books I have read, as those kind of books don't interest me at all.

harper
"my brother calls it angsty piano shit, but i play a lot of yiruma, a great big world, and a lot of piano covers of pop songs." this is me, opening up. and this is me, shutting up."what about you?"

Parker
"Oh, no, babe, I'm straight. As a ruler. Or as Miguel, whatever you wish", I allowed myself to wink. Why not? Who was stopping me? Besides, if I fuck up, I'd only be around her for a month.

Poppy
"I'd like to say Gryffindor. But I'm gonna have to go with Ravenclaw", I glance slightly at my book. "Now I'm definitely not a Hufflepuff. I always seem to loose stuff let alone find them. Which are you in", finally. Someone to talk Harry potter to.

Allie
Babe? And a wink? I haven't been in the presence of boys in quite a while, but is this how they act. I smile slightly. "Any is fine", eh what the hell. Why not.

Joules
"I sing, mostly, but I don't mind playing the cello or piano. I do covers of musical songs" I replied, "It would be nice to hear you play sometime"

Noah
"Ravenclaw isn't a bad house, it means you are very intelligent. I would like to believe Gryffindor, I did those test things online and they all said Gryffindor."

Parker
"So..." I leaned my head against the headrest, oh how obvious."What songs does Miss Allie play or sing or edit or whatever it is that you do?"

harper
i shook my head. i came to this camp because parker dragged me, there was no way i'd actually play anything."oh, i don't think it will be a good idea."

Poppy
"Thank the lord for those few, rare people that make quizzes about fandoms", I sigh. "So what made you decide to go to camp?", I ask after a few seconds.

Allie
"I play guitar and violin. I barely ever sing cause my brother used to threaten me when I did", I fold my arms and lean back slightly. "I wouldn't be here if my mum hadn't made me. And, may I ask, what do you play or sing or edit or whatever?"

Joules
"Why not? I think it will be a very good idea" I replied, I wanted to see him play. He looks like the type who will be very good at what they do.

Noah
"Yes, they have helped us in many ways" I said, "Oh, I thought it would be a nice get away, what about you?"

Parker
"A little of all", I answered shortly, more interested in her than in myself. That's a first."Why did he do that? That's awfully rude, siblings are supposed to be nice. Well, I wouldn't know, but that's what the books say."

harper
"it's not like i'm very good-" i stuttered, that's what i do when i'm near a panic attack."and just no." i shook my head heavily to make sure my point was understood. i don't sing in front of people because i don't trust them and i do not, i repeat, do not want to get hurt by some idiots.

Poppy
"I just needed a change of scenery", I explain lightly. Being an orphan was starting to get dull. "The guidance councillor advised it". He said that I needed to find a job or they'd throw me in a foster home.

Allie
"Not really. In my experience siblings are obliged to hate each other", and, boy do I hate my brother. "Especially if there's an age difference. Him and I are kind of like petrol and fire. They're...almost harmless apart but together...", I mime an explosion.

Joules
"Ah, it's a shame" He seemed slightly stressed about this subject, so I changed it. "What's your favourite type of music? What kind of thing so you sit and listen to through headphones on your phone?"

Noah
"Guidance councillor?" I asked, tilting my head to the side slightly.

Parker
"I don't really think fire is harmless, just for future note", I joked."But, hey, I never took chemistry after high school, so who am I to talk?"

harper
why was it all about me? me me me me. like that guy didn't have anything else to talk about."instrumentals, mostly. i dislike most of the voices which are in songs i like, so it's an infinite paradox."{but guess whose he won't dislike}

Poppy
Oh, shit. Why did that have to slip out. "Yeah...the schools guidance councillor", I lie. People I just met didn't need to know all about my past.

Allie
I laugh at his lame joke. Oh god, what's wrong with me. I never laugh at guys lame jokes. I guess going to camp must change how my mind works.

Joules
"Oh, cool. You don't hate everyone's singing voice do you? Whose do you like?" I asked, resting my chin on my palm. (i guess justin bieber)

Noah
"Ah okay, that makes sense. I guess they would talk about the future, right? So what kind if job would you like?" I asked.

Parker
"Doll, I am charming but I'm not that charming."She had the cutest laugh oh my god. That's it. I want to win this girl over. I'll serenade her if I must.

harper
"i like (insert fancy opera singers like kristen chenoweth too late to google)", i admitted, feeling like something very personal was ripped away from me, when in reality i just told him my favourite singer.

Poppy
"um...I guess I'd like to go into teaching. Preferably music", I've always been interested in passing knowledge on. Teaching was the first option. "What about you?"

Allie
I laugh again, but slightly quieter than before. "Whoever said you were charming?", I tease. I look around the bus. "Isn't your girlfriend going to be annoyed that your talking to me?", subtle. Real subtle. I'm just going to go curl up and die in a corner over there.

Joules
"Really? That is cool" I said, "So you like opera singers? How do you rate Sarah Brightwood?" I asked, she's definitely one of my favourite singers. I mean the notes she hits are ones most can only dream.

Noah
"Teaching? Oh that's very good job, if I wasn't such a dumbass, I'd do the same" I said, then with a small shrug I replied, "I don't know, I was hoping to get inspiration from here."

Parker
"The closest thing to a girlfriend I have is you right now. I'm single, babe. And I'm all yours", cliches. But this time I really meant them. She was adorable, dammit. Enough to make a grown man cry. I flashed a full grin, which I know, when done properly, sweeps girls off of their feet. I'd usually just think of something I liked when I did it, but this time it was all natural. I was on a roll.

I sigh and lean into my chair. "I hope we get there soon", I say and squint into the distance. "I never liked travelling".

Allie
Girlfriend? That prospect does sound promising. I mentally slap myself. Snap out of it. But my mouth betrays me and smiles widely. A small giggle even escapes my lips. Ugh.

Joules
"Ah me neither, I just appreciate her voice" I never thought it necessary to hide my sexuality, so why do the same with him? You never know there could be a chance in a million that I could have a chance with him. Better trying than not right?

Noah
"I have no idea, but shouldn't be too long we have been travelling a while" I replied with a smile, I liked this girl. A lot.

Parker
"Has anybody told you have an amazing laughter? Like, absolutely adorable", I kept on staring at her, because , you know, I can.

harper
not his type? i expected that she'd be anyone's type. maybe he was - oh fuck no, i'm not getting into this relationship bullshit. disrespectful towards him, disrespectful towards me."but, honeszly, most opera broadway singers have voices to die for. chenoweth, streisand with their colouraturas, my god." i just gayed out, right?

Poppy
I hum in agreement. It hadn't seemed long at all while talking to him. The minutes had just seemed to fly by. Okay, things to talk about without sounding...weird. "So..."

Allie
I feel a blush creeping across my cheeks. I was used to those catcalls from creepy weirdos across the street, but down right compliments were not my area. "No. No one has ever told me that", I say quietly.

"Oh; I won't disagree with you there. Their voices are just incredible, fabulous." I grinned at him, happier he seemed more enthusiastic about what we were talking about. "What is your favourite opera song of all time?"

Noah
I did like this girl, she was pretty, she was just great company. Now, most guys would just flirt her to death. I don't think that's the best way. Slowly introduce romantic gestures is what I believe will work. Though I have never tried it before. "Any other interests?"

(colouratura soprano is a very flexible soprano which does riffs flawlessly)

"Fuck it, stop being so cute!" It was a rule that I don't swear in front of girls, and I just destroyed that rule.

fabulous? what did i get myself into?"i wouldn't go so far and say i have an all time favourite, but carmen is a really good opera, all of it." i still prefer some broadway songs to it, but what can i do
