"Like... caricatures?" Sebastian asked pausing slightly to find the right words. Sometimes a certain trait or a feature can define a person. Seb never liked those people who were defined by what others see in them. If you can't be who you are, why even bother being?

"Yeah, sort of" Brooklyn said with a nod, "Why did you choose to do law?" She asked, deciding to move the subject away from her and to him instead. She preferred to listen rather than speak, plus he did have a nice voice, one you wouldn't mind sitting and listening to.

"Because, hmm... How to put it nicely? People amuse me. They get caught for simplest of reasons. People kill for unrequited love. They don't know what they did wrong. I'm just there to point it out for them", Sebastian shrugged.

Brooklyn tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her notebook held firmly in her hands against her chest. She had a quick glance around before going into a compartment of the train. She was travelling to New York, a place she had always wanted to go since a young child. She had seen beautiful drawings of it all over the walls of many buildings. It seemed such a lovely place to go and draw buildings and the people who live in New York. She sat down on a seat and opened her notebook, drawing a small sketch/doodle in the corner of the page.

Sebastian hated being late. And he was late right now. He muttered a swear under his breath jumping onto the train which had just left, but hadn't gotten into speed yet. Success, he grinned. Something he always loved, and he had a dozen of those behind him. First, ability of getting rid of meds. Second, stopping to break into people's houses. The charm of the rush had disappeared, they didn't even lock the doors anymore. And last one, acing college, summa cum laude. Things have been going quite swimmingly. The only thing that still bothered him were his parents. He made his way into the first not-full compartment pushing his glasses upwards, since they nearly fell of in his 'heroic' jump.

Brooklyn glanced up as someone walked into the compartment, he was very strangely familiar and Brooklyn didn't know why. The more she looked at him the less she knew about how she recognised him. After a couple of seconds she gave up, and continued with her small doodle which had now expanded across the page, like a large looming tree branch but made of tiny doodles of random people animals and items. She began to sketch a mini version of the guy who had just walked in, hoping that would help her work out where she recognised him from.

Sebastian looked at her, but when she didn't say hi, he didn't as well. He sat down and started fiddling with his pen and notebook, something he has done for ages now. It releases the tension, his psychiatrist {that his mom made him go to} said. What tension? There was absolutely no tension in him at the moment! It was just something to do when he had nothing to do, that's all! But of course, they didn't listen to him.

When Brooklyn had finished the drawing she gave a small sigh, she still couldn't work out who it was. She stared at her drawing for another second, looking at the over exaggerated drawing, it was more realistic than her old caricature style drawings. But it still had a cartoon look to it, she glanced up at the guy again, just to add the final details, when she remembered him. She had met him on the train to Ohio, he had been studying law. But his name, she couldn't, for the life of her, remember his name.

Sebastian noticed her looking at him and smiled slightly, recognizing her."Hello, Brooklyn", he said looking at her over the top of his glasses, since he was still half-focused on the pen and the notebook."Train again? People'd think you have an obsession."

"Hi, Sebastian" Brooklyn smiled, remembering his name after he spoke. She placed her pencil in the fold of her notebook, and laughed slightly at his comment. "I would say the same to you" She said, with a smile. "Didn't you say it's bad to write or draw on a train as it smudges?" She added, nodding to his notebook and pen. Brooklyn sat up a bit so she could look at him properly.

"If I was writing I'd be pissed off right now", Sebastian said showing her all the random lines that were spread across his doodles."But hopefully, with time, I get to learn not to continue running away in trains. Buses, maybe. Less shaky, but require more communication. Best things are airplanes, but they are expensive", he thought out loud.

Brooklyn chuckled lightly, quickly scanning his drawings, they were pretty good. "How are things going for you at college? You were studying law if I remember correctly" Brooklyn asked, closing her notebook, but her pencil saved which page she was drawing on.

"Mhm, I have graduated college, to put it correctly. How about you?" Sebastian asked closing the notebook and putting it onto his knees. "And if I remember correctly, you were in a college you didn't like. How did things work out?"

"I somehow managed to graduate that college without any problems and I am now going to the art college my mum didn't let me apply for" Brooklyn said with a small smile. After convincing her mum that since she had finished college and could easily get a job, her mum finally let her go to the art college Brooklyn had always wanted to go to. "Why are you going to New York?" She asked.

"I honestly don't know", Sebastian chuckled lightly, stopping soon, because he didn't like his laugh. He didn't like anything about himself, to be honest. "My grandma had an apartment in Manhattan so I decided to... indwell it."

Brooklyn nodded "I have heard New York is an amazing place" She said, "It is one of the places I've always wanted to go" She added, moving her gaze to look out of the window, but all she could see was lots of trees so looked back towards Sebastian.

"Um. You know you are currently going to New York?"Sebastian asked smiling at her.

Brooklyn smiled back "Exactly. I've been saving up for this trip for the last few months" She said, crossing her legs. Her art class have been set a challenge to go to a city and draw anything of interest, so Brooklyn chose New York, even though everyone thought she would of chosen Brooklyn the city as a joke.

"Planned everything out? Like where are you staying, where you will work?"Sebastian asked, having a strange feeling of friendship inside. It wasn't something he felt in a while, mostly it was just study, study, study, and he didn't mind that, but he could get used to this feeling.

"I'm going to be staying at a hotel, I'm only going to be there for a week or so, it's for a project at college" Brooklyn said, with a small smile, studying him again. She shifted her backpack slightly so she could sit in a more comfortable position.

"Great. What kind of a project?"Sebastian asked finally stopping to fiddle around with his writing equipment, focusing completely on her. Most people say that guys aren't able to multitask, but this one can. Heavily. He could be playing computer games, humming to a song in his head and listening at someone {which happens rarely} at the same time.

"We have to make a collage of coloured drawings of interesting things in a city" Brooklyn said with a small shrug and smile. She had been looking forward to this project since the start of year when she found out about it. It's an excuse to get out of her small town and go to any city in America for a whole week.

"That's a really interesting project", Sebastian said pushing his glasses up, since they fell again. Goddamn his glasses. He promised himself he'd buy some contacts but could never save up to them, and to be honest, he had gotten used to pushing them up, it had become a habit and a reflex at the same time.

Brooklyn nodded "Probably my favourite of the whole course" She agreed. "So what do you do now you have finished college?" Brooklyn asked, looking at him curiously, law was a pretty good degree to study as it offers loads of possible jobs, like lawyers, police officers, etc.

"Get a job and focus on what I like to do. After all, they say that when you find a job you love, you'll never work again", Sebastian said. e didn't have a clue which job would he get, nor which job he'd love.
