I raised an eyebrow at him "Am I? Am I really? You ain't particularly what I call simple"

"At least I'm not repetitive", Zach smirked.

Ellie
"At least I speak English that other people understand" I replied in the same tone

"People who are smart understand my English", Zach shrugged.

Ellie
"Well I am offended" I replied, crossing my arms, playfully scowling at him.

I glanced over to Zach then the bar "Are you drinking tonight?" I asked.

"I highly doubt that. I've been sober for a while now", Zach said.

Ellie
"And I congratulate you on that" I smiled, before buying a beer.

"Not like I'm becoming a nun or anything but still. Keepin' it clean", Zach said.

Ellie
I laughed slightly, finding a place to sit.

A man, probably a few years younger than myself approached me. "Hello love" he said, sitting next to me. "I'm Harry" Harry introduced "Ellie" I replied, taking a sip of my beer. "So, why is a pretty girl like you here?" Harry asked. "I'm on vacation with a few friends" I shrugged surprised by his compliment. Harry and I spoke for a bit, he generally seemed like a nice guy. He bought me a few drinks, ones a lot more expensive than my beer. I began to feel a bit woozy, but I didn't stop him buying them, he did adorable puppy eyes if I refused. Harry moved towards me after each drink, and was soon close enough to place an arm around me, and I felt too drunk to pull away. He grinned towards me. "You're really pretty, y'know" He said, still looking at me "Thanks" I replied, my voice slurred.

Zach wasn't really in the mood for drinking. He was also keeping the sober days. But that guy really annoyed him, and with every drink he bought her he liked him less. Okay, that was enough. He approached them."Hey, Ellie? We should go."

Ellie
"Zach. Zach. Meet Harry. Harry. Meet Zach the smarty pants." I said, grinning up at Zach.

"For real, Ellie", Zach pulled her arm eyeing the man suspiciously.

Ellie
"Awh but Zach he is my new friend" I complained, but I followed him nonetheless. "Why did I have to leave H-harry?" I asked, hiccuping Harry's name.

"Because you're drunk, you're gonna have a massive headache in the morning and that guy is a bit shady", Zach dragged her away.

Ellie
"But he wasn't wearing any shades." I observed, glancing back at Harry.

"As a metaphor", Zach sighed walking out of the bar."Look, I don't want ypi hanging around those guys."

Ellie
"Why?" I asked, glancing up at Zach, following obediently behind him.

"You won't remember any of that in the morning, so for all we know, you could've been raped, and I love you and don't want you to get hurt, and still, guys who hang out in bars alone at this time aren't particulary good." Zach rambled.

I smiled at him, then clinged to his arm, as I almost lost my balance, though when I regained it I didn't let go "Really?" I asked, looking up at him.
