"Oh my God what the fuck was that", Fletcher said in a blank tone. He noticed something white end on his chest and picked it up."Napkin? Seriously? That's the least aerodynamic thing you could have picked."

I gazed around myself, spotting my shoe. I picked up the shoe and aimed it at him, but not throwing it.

"Okay, what's that now? Is that wood? If it's wood it would, literally, kill me, so don't throw wood", Fletcher said squinting his eyes towards the object.

Aaliyah
I smiled at him, laughing silently. I threw it in the air and caught it again. I held the shoe by its laces, to make it slightly easier to make out its shape.

"Is that a fucking shoe. You just reduced to throwing shoes at me?" Fletcher crossed his arms on his chest."And you still won't bloody talk to me. I see, I see. My existence has been hijacking your mood today so you transferred to a bitchy state. Alright, alright."

I placed the shoe neatly next to my other one and settled back down in the bed, complaining to myself about them being uncomfortable. I wondered how long it would take for him to catch on to the fact I can't talk.

"There's something quite disarming about the fact that you keep on talking, you won't even stop to breathe. You know, the weak me wishes to speak a few words, if you don't mind", Fletcher said mockingly straightening up on his bed. His closer vision was completely fine, he could even read, but anything farther than him more than a metre became a colour, not an object.

I shook my head lightly, not amused by his comment. I gazed around, trying to find something, anything I could use to write with.

"I'm a good fucking person, I don't deserve it", Fletcher muttered angrily."Well, might as well get some sleep. At least I'm out of school", he said.

I watched him for a second before rubbing my eyes with my hand. Sleep is an unnecessary activity, I would much rather have my DS. But, the blithering idiots, didn't let me get it.

"Good night, creepy nonexistent person. You know, I could just be imagining you", Fletcher said rolling over to his side.

I scrunched up a bit of napkin and threw it at his head. Imagine that, I thought. remaining in my straight position on my bed.

"I could have schizophrenia, you never know", Fletcher muttered quite audibly.

Aaliyah
I sighed again, quite unsure what to do, it is very hard to hold a conversation when you can't speak.

"Good night, Force. Ha ha, get it, Star Wars reference. They don't call me a nerd at school for nothing", Fletcher said. Sometimes his brain just wouldn't shut up.

Star Trek is better, I noticed, shaking my head at him, deciding to fiddle with my hair again.

"I'd say I love you all but it would be misinterpreted by the media, thank you", Fletcher said pushing his glasses up his nose. The medical people showed up without a particular reason, like they were studying them.

Well, they found my DS, slightly damaged but it still worked, thank God. They also were able to find my notebook, so I could know communicate with the kid sat next to me in a way he'd understand, why I would want to do that I have no idea.

When they left, Fletcher glanced at the person next to him."Well, now I know that you're female, those words earlier were merely a guess. And you still won't talk to me."

I glanced at him and scribbled in my notebook 'Nope' I turned it around so he could read the writing.

"You're rather confusing. Surely, writing is MUCH easier than just saying the words out loud", Fletcher rolled his eyes.

'It is if speaking isn't an option' I wrote, with a small shrug.

Fletcher opened his mouth, but closed it after a couple of seconds."Shit. Now you think I'm an insensitive bastard. Well, I am in a way, but not about things like that."
